The proposal and the ring used to be the same decision. You chose, alone, in advance, and the answer to one question was also the verdict on the other. Some still want it that way. Many couples today prefer the moment first and the design after.
For them, we offer a loaner.
Why propose without the final ring
A made-to-order engagement ring takes four to six weeks to create. Choosing it together takes another conversation or two before that. If you want the surprise of a proposal and the shared design of the ring itself, the loaner makes both possible.
It also takes the pressure off a difficult guess. Cut, carat, metal, setting profile, and size are all easier to get right when the wearer is in the room.
How it works
You book a short consultation with us, in Stockholm or online. We discuss the moment you have in mind, your partner's style, your budget, and the approximate finger size if known.
We then send a loaner ring. It will look beautiful in the proposal, and it will not pre-empt the real design.
After the proposal
Once you have your answer, the two of you come to us together. We start the real design process: cut, carat, metal, setting.
You return the loaner when the final ring is delivered. The deposit is refunded in full, less a small handling fee that we state upfront.
Practical notes
- Sizing is forgiving. The loaner is delivered in a common size with a discreet inner band that adjusts.
- Looks beautiful in photographs.
- Delivery is discreet. We can ship to a separate address, unmarked, on a date you choose.
- The deposit secures the loaner and is fully refundable.
